John Covell
Medical Advisor

John Covell is a 1973 graduate of Brown University with a B.A. in Biology. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1977. He was an intern and resident in Family Practice and did additional on the job training in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington from 1977-1980 and was Chief Resident in 1980. He was a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corp.  His professional career has been divided into equal parts Family Practice, Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care and Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery. He is board certified in Family Practice and is a diplomat of The American Board of Family Physicians. He currently works as an Urgent Care Physician for Auburn Memorial Hospital in Auburn, New York. He traveled to the Southern Sudan in March, 2008 and practiced at the clinic at Old Fangok and at the Duk Lost Boys Clinic.
