Dr. David Reed is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Upstate
Medical University, where he has been
actively involved in International Health Activities since 2000.
During a 2007-2008 sabbatical, he has focused his activities in
global health. His interest is in the rebuilding of health care systems in
regions where they were disrupted, generally by civil conflict.
Recent activities have been primarily in South Sudan and Northern
Uganda. Over the last year he has also worked in Kosovo, Ghana,
Rwanda, St. Lucia and Haiti. Dr. Reed is active in community
projects in Cazenovia, NY and he serves as the Associate Medical
Director for the Duk Lost Boys Clinic.
