In May 2007, the Duk Lost Boys Clinic opened in Duk County, South Sudan by the American Care for Sudan Foundation founded by John Dau and members of the Skaneateles, New York community. The clinic continues to be maintained through private donations and financial support and oversight from JDSF. This is the first medical clinic in Duk Payuel Payam, South Sudan.

·        More than 20,000 patients have received lifesaving medical care at the clinic since it opened in May 2007.

·        The clinic is currently seeing between 75 -100 patients per a day with a record of 158 in one day during the visitation of medical instructors.

·        More than 400 expecting mothers have been seen and evaluated. These are the first women to ever receive prenatal care in South Sudan.
